Emer Fox lives in Dublin. Her earliest experience of music was listening along with her younger sisters and brother to her father play the accordion .She learned to play the guitar and continued singing through her teenage years. Involvement in musical drama followed, along with an appreciation for the songwriting craft of songwriters like Sammy Cahn and Ira Gershwin.
She likes to tell stories in her music and has penned a number of protest ballads. But music is also about fun and Emer enjoys writing in the genre of swing, jazz and gospel.
In 2009, ‘Eurovision’ nearly came a calling, when she had a song shortlisted in RTE’s selection process. More recently she has had success with two songs reaching the semi-final of the UK Songwriting Contest.
