Des Wade was born in Dublin and has lived in Australia for nearly 40 years. He spent some years travelling from Queensland to Tasmania where he worked professionally under the name Dez Perrado, The Human Jukebox.
Des is an award-winning songwriter and lyricist and member of SCALA (South Australia’s internationally recognised Songwriters, Composers & Lyricists Association). The US group Locklin Road recorded his song Wings of Angels and took it to the top of the CDBaby folk charts.
He reckons he’s a bit of a dreamer, with both feet planted firmly in the clouds – who started out with nothing and still has most of it.
