Dubbed ‘Ireland’s Prince Of Country Music’ singer/songwriter John Hogan who was born in Kilbeggan, Co. Westmeath, made history in 1987 when he topped the charts (before ever doing a live gig) with his first recording, a song entitled ‘Brown Eyes’. This success resulted in him packing in the day job and embarking on a full time career in music. That was 26 years ago!
Some of his best known songs are ‘Stepping Stone’, ‘Turn Back The Years’, ‘Candle & Wine’, ‘My Guitar’, ‘My Feelings For You’, ‘I Loved Her So’, ‘My Christmas’, ‘Maria’ and ‘Love You More’ .
John also enjoys great success both as a performer and songwriter in some far away places! Achieving a No.1 hit record on the Carribbean Island of St Lucia where he has toured on a number of occasions.
While always busy touring, John still manages to find time for his song-writing.
Special Love
Hi John I’ve just played some of your great songs and I must say your crystal clear singing voice sure takes some beating and (if not so already)needs to be listened to and truly appreciated. good luck with your current acoustic album ”Back to Basic”. Well done my friend. Cyril Wilkinson Carnew, Co. Wicklow.
Hi John,
How are you.
I am a Jim Reeves fan, and i have just recorded an album, of twelve of his songs, for release next year, and i am very proud of it.
I would like to try and find a new song for my self, if you have anything that you think might suit my voice, which is similar to Jim’s, please let me know.
Regards,
Oliver Hayden.

I loved that song “My Guitar” I have a song about my own guitar but it is entirely different from yours. Nice sound on your recording.
