Mark Pennington credits his passion for country music and the power in his voice to his dad Herb, who played guitar and sang on the banks of the Muskingum River outside the little town of Stockport, OH. Like all aspiring artists, Mark played at night and worked a day job to make ends meet. Unlike most, his job was traveling the country to go 100 feet in the air with a 4 foot chainsaw. This excruciating and dangerous line of work even took him to the large Timbers of Southern California during the wildfires!!
Eventually he got to sharing stages with legends like David Allan Coe and Mark Chestnutt and contemporay stars like Clay Walker, Lee Brice, and Blackberry Smoke. Mark’s single “Hey Girl” stayed at the #2 spot on Reverb Nation in Nashville for 6 weeks.
After forays into many musical areas, Mark has decided to return to his river roots of classic outlaw music and has formed a new and successful traditional outlaw country band with his life long friend Jason Short.
More music coming soon. ISG.
