Singer/Songwriter Mick Hanly began his recording career with the late Mícheál O’Domhnaill making one album for the Polydor label, which is classed as one of the groundbreaking folk albums of the time. He had a major hit with his song ‘Past the Point of Rescue’ in 1992, for which he picked up three BMI awards. One for ‘Most Played Country Song’, and one for ‘1 Million Radio Plays’.
